Day 01 : Delhi

By 1600 hrs, assemble at the Safdarjung Railway Station to enjoy a traditional welcome. Get a royal Garland welcome with Tikka and a turban on your forehead. Complete the check-in formalities and get aboard the Palace on Wheels. Enjoy a welcome drink. Once inside the train, you are free to explore this luxury train and its facilities. Dinner at any of the 2 restaurants of the train. The train departs from the station at 18:30 hrs for its first destination, Jaipur.

Day 02 : Jaipur

Early morning arrival in Jaipur, Rajasthan's capital, also known as the Pink City. After breakfast on-board the train, leave the comforts of the train to embark on a city tour of Jaipur. The first two visits of the day include the complex of City Palace and Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds. Thereafter, you are taken to the Amber fort, where you also have your lunch. Post- lunch explore this fort, placed on a hilltop. After sightseeing, you are taken to the local markets of Jaipur. Here you can shop for souvenirs in the form of handicrafts, traditional clothes, gemstones, jewellery, and more.

Back aboard the train by 18:00 hours for the evening tea. Enjoy some free time inside the Palace on Wheels. Savour a royal dining experience at a popular heritage hotel. After dinner, overnight stay in the train that departs for Sawai Madhopur, the next destination.

Day 03 : Sawai Madhopur - Chittorgarh

On the 3rd day, enjoy an early morning visit to the world-popular Ranthambore National Park, around 14 km from Sawai Madhopur. One of the largest national parks in India, it is spread in 392 square km of land and is popular for housing a good population of tigers.

During wildlife viewing, you can spot several animal species including tigers, sambar, hyena, sloth bear, spotted deer, chital, hulman and over 275 avifauna species. Wildlife safari is followed by breakfast at the jungle lodge. Back aboard the Palace on Wheels. Continue your journey to your next destination, Chittorgarh. Lunch aboard.

Later, you de-board the train to explore the prime tourist attractions of Chittorgarh including the magnificent Chittorgarh Fort. The evening is scheduled for enjoying high-tea and light and sound show at the fort. Post-dinner, get on-board Palace on Wheels for an overnight stay. The train starts it's journey for the next destination, Udaipur.

Day 04 : Udaipur

On day 4, arrive in Udaipur by 08:00 hours. Established in the 15th century by Maharana Udai Singh, Udaipur is quite popular for its palace and lakes. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations all around the world. Have your royal breakfast and later, embark on a sightseeing of Udaipur.

You visit popular attractions like Jagdish temple, Jag Niwas Lake Palace, Jag Mandir and so on. Thereafter, enjoy a luxurious lunch at a heritage hotel. The next visit of the day is to the City Palace and the Crystal Gallery. Do not miss a boat ride in the evening on Lake Pichola. Back to the train for dinner and an overnight stay. Palace on Wheel begins its journey for Jaisalmer, the next destination.

Day 05 : Jaisalmer

On the 5th day of the tour, the train enters the city of Jaisalmer. Post breakfast on-board the train; embark on a sightseeing tour of the city. The list of the attractions of the day includes the extremely beautiful and well-known Havelis (mansions) including Nathmalji ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli.

Thereafter, you can also shop at the popular local market for some exclusive handicraft stuff, which you can carry back home in the form of souvenirs. Have lunch at a famous city restaurant, Later, leave for sightseeing across the world-popular Sam Sand Dunes. Enjoy a memorable sunset view during a camel ride.

Enjoy sumptuous dinner, bonfire and a cultural performance under the star-lit sky in the sand dunes of Jaisalmer. Back to the train for staying overnight as the train chugs-off to Jodhpur.

Day 06 : Jodhpur

After arriving in Jodhpur on the 6th day of the tour, have dinner on-board the train. Later, leave the comforts of the train for indulging in sightseeing of Jodhpur, which includes prime attractions of the city such as the Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, and the Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Your lunch is scheduled in a palace hotel. Thereafter, you are taken to the famous markets across Jodhpur city. You can get your hands on exclusive handicraft items including silverware, embroidered shoes and tie and dye fabrics. Have dinner. Stay overnight on-board Palace on Wheels.

Day 07: Bharatpur/Agra

On day 7, you arrive in the next destination Bharatpur by 05:00 hours. Now known as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, it is known for housing an amazing variety of bird species, including both resident and migratory birds. Indulge in bird watching and wildlife viewing in the park, which takes around 3 hrs. Have your breakfast at a jungle lodge.

Return aboard the train that begins its journey for Agra. Arrival in Agra, followed by a city tour including the world-renowned Taj Mahal along with the other important tourist attractions. Do not miss shopping at the Agra markets where you can get your hands on some interesting items such as leather goods, jewellery, marble souvenirs etc. Enjoy a special light and sound show. Special dinner at a city hotel.

Return back to the train to get back to Delhi from where the Palace on Wheel itinerary started. Stay overnight aboard the Palace on Wheels.

Day 08: Delhi (Return)

Today is the last day of the tour when the train enters the Safdarjung Railway Station. Breakfast on-board the train, followed by check-out formalities.
